You guys are so choice
So yesterday after repeated emails from my webhost I finally caved and upgraded our hosting plan because we exceeded our monthly cap by quite a bit (in fact if I look at the stats, we had over 50,000 visits during September which would put us in the top 10 of that Parachute thing that people do).
Now I don’t do this for the stats, but I’m still chuffed that people seem to be reading and enjoying the blog, so GREAT.
However obviously increased plan = increased cost. So I did a little fundraising round and man oh man* did you people come to the party. With your over generous donations we got enough to comfortably afford an upgraded plan and now I have a bit of left-over money in the kitty. Any further donations we get will stay in there to either cover future costs, or hopefully reach a stage where I can flick my writers some coin if they do a particular clever piece of work.
I just wanted to express my gratitude to you all. Even if you didn’t donate, thanks for reading. But to those who did donate, you are so very generous and kind that I was genuinely moved. And I’m seldom moved by anything.
If anyone has any cool ideas with what I can spend the money on to make the site MORE awesome, then please comment below.
